It totally is! The mind has its place for sure, but for too long humans were stuck up there in the dusty attic! I think weβre now awakening and finding our hidden magic again, buried under the cobwebs!
This speaks straight to the soul, especially that quiet pull toward comparison that sneaks in even when we think weβve let it go. βGood luck, bad luck, same, sameβ is such a beautiful anchorβ¦ a reminder that peace doesnβt come from the outside, but from staying rooted in our own truth. When comparison shows up for me, I try to pause and ask, Who am I creating this for? If the answer is still me, I know Iβm on the right path. Thank you for this gentle wisdom. β¨
Thanks so much for reading and commenting. I know, right? Itβs such a simple piece of advice and itβs kind of sing-songy too, so itβs easy to remember.
I know a slightly different story of a farmer going through a series of fortunate and unfortunate events and his response to his villagers reaction to both was only βMay be So β . That was the best i knew before and this one toped it - now am saying βgood luck bad luck β same same like an earworm stuck in my head - i love it
I love how old proverbs have so many different variations! When I looked this one up, the original version is supposedly about a man who lost his horse. I also love how this one is so sing-songy. Itβs perfect since it gets stuck in my head too! Easy to remember when Iβm stressed.
Thatβs so cool you were thinking it and then you saw it. I have found that when I get into alignment and follow my heart, itβs really the universe leading me magically towards all the things I need in life.
This looks so cool! Iβd love to be a part of this. What a fun way to organize your writing into different themes and highlight other authors as well!
Haha, thatβs funny. The mind is such a tricky little monkey! One minute we are riding the zen wave and the next we are grasping for breath in the choppy water. I guess itβs about learning to breathe through it all? Thanks for commenting!! This too shall pass is another mantra I love when I canβt let go of a mood funk, whether itβs comparison, deep sadness , or just regular old irritability! But to be non-attached is so freeing when it does come. And a tattoo or sticker for the keyboard is a great idea! Iβm going to check out your post right now!
Beautifully told! This is the understanding that when you detach yourself from the mind, you will see everything as it truly is.
Thank you for sharing! ππ¦

Aldous Huxley said, "When the doors of perception are cleansed, you will see what truly is truth." (Paraphrased)
Yes! Lately Iβve felt like a film was wiped from my tired eyes so I could finally see clearly.

Next to my Miss Validation, she is the worst.
So when Miss Comparison shows up in her red heels and her smug little smirk, I donβt fight her anymore. I see her, I name her, I smile, and I say:
βNot my lane. Not my life. Not my problem.β
And then, I get back to living. π
That is so awesome! Somehow I missed this comment before. I love the not my lane, not my problem, not my life!
Beautifully written! Real satisfaction, real fulfillment all stems from within. Chasing others, comparisons, all futile and fleeting
Thatβs so true, and yet we must remain vigilant since our entire world tries to make us feel less than.

Yes. Whenever we pause and listen, thatβs the key.

I was just thinking the words slippery slope to comparison and the article came up. Iβm glad I read it

I will totally check out your post! I totally relate to what you just shared too!
β¦as if by dissecting the unknown we could tame itβ¦.
I lived my life this way. It was the mind trying to protect me.
Sure! How does that work?
