Please don't wax political here. It's refreshing to like and find those entertainment and relaxation venues that manage to refrain from this contemporary scourge on our culture.
thank you for the note, steve. i have long valued your support of my writing.
in regards to your comment, i wrote the most dangerous man as a reference to what i see happening across the political spectrum globally — leaders on all sides who use scapegoating, and particularly racial scapegoating, as a tool of power. that's not a partisan observation, it's a human one. just as sexism cuts across every party and every border. as a female writer, i will always call out harm — whether it's societal or personal. that's how i work.
I don’t disagree, but the very same haters that claim to despise one heinous behavior turn around and supports another.. Moral codes are gone now, and we’re relegated to being sermonized to by the naive in the name of a whole new form of entitlement. When Andi lived in Saudi Arabia, Osama bin Laden, “you Christians live your religion one day a week. We live ours every day.” Long and short of it, there are too many beliefs now that simply don’t go together. Bottom result??? A few billion people are deemed to be wrong and dangerous. It doesn’t work, and talking about it only makes it worse.
You now know why we’re in Mexico. And that’s how I work.
totally understand that reasoning. and i love that you are in mexico! we are moving to spain in the fall but will be back in colorado for the summers. and i completely agree with you on everything but your final conclusion. I believe we do need to call out harm, and also we need to be able to listen to someone else’s perspective. for example, you and i are having differing and opposing views and we are discussing them respectfully. we should be able to have our views and allow others to have theirs. just like with mother nature, as today is earth day and my birthday, nature celebrates diversity in all its forms. and when diversity thrives, so do we all!
Such a thought provoking reflection. I really relate with your words. Truly powerful words that challenge us to rethink our perceptions of danger and justice!!
thank you my love. i know much has been said on this, and yet, i also have my perspective i wanted to share! hope all is well. how has life been treating you, my dear?
It has been busy and also all over but with so many beautiful people like you I don’t have much to complain about. I do know you are busy and less active than before but I do miss your beautiful warm presence and your posts and notes light up my days 😊🙏🏼
