my precious child,
don’t worry that you aren’t enough
or that you have lost something irreplaceable along the way.
for you are the one who is irreplaceable.
you are a precious child of my heart.
and unlike your heart, mine is not held in one place.
it is the light catching on every raindrop at once,
the same warmth in your chest as in the sun.
i am divine consciousness before it becomes form, and after.
and my love for you is infinite because you are infinite,
a rising wave that forgets it was ever separate from the ocean,
crashing for a moment just to feel what that thrill is like,
then folding back into everything it always was.
this is not the end. this is only the beginning.
the beginning of you.
the beginning of each new shape you’ll wear.
for nothing is ever truly stagnant
and nothing ever truly dies.
water does not die when it becomes mist,
and mist does not die when it becomes rain.
it is the same with you.
the container shifts. the water remains.
so next time you feel yourself clench up in fear and dread,
or loss and grief,
remember you are a single note in a melody so vast
it would not be whole without you.
you are a shimmering, glimmering dance of all that is,
compressed for a time into a human vessel
so that i could see life through your eyes.
that is why your note matters.
sweet little child of heart.
love,
the universe
