if i could change the world,
i’d help people know
the truth.
that they are
incredibly
worthy.
worthy of love.
not the hyped up
worthiness
dressed as
healing slogans.
true
worthiness.
a feeling
i have struggled
to understand
my whole life.
who am i
to be worthy?
only ever taught
to caretake.
to hold
pain and darkness
for another.
it was all
they showed me.
looked like
parenting
on the outside.
unmet wounds
became
the unmet wounds
in me.
we can not love
another
until
we learn
to love
ourselves.
yet another slogan.
love yourself.
let’s start
a self love
revolution.
but how?
the age old question
doesn’t get answered
without grit
without grime
without tears
thousands
and thousands
of tears.
over
thousands
and thousands
of years.
humans
have been at this
for a while...
but what
do we have
to show for it?
it depends
on who
you ask.
it depends
on where
you look.
the crux
of the matter.
the cross
of the story.
sold to millions.
always taught
to look
without.
to someone
who
was pure.
to someone
who
was holier
than you.
to someone
who
died
for you.
because
you are
a lowly sinner.
an addicted consumer.
to the goods
they sell.
for a living hell.
hell
a place
you live
in your mind.
a place
you learn
to leave behind.
how?
when you step
off
the ledge.
a free fall
into
the great beyond.
outside
the cage walls,
where
no one
will save you
but yourself.
don’t be blue
there is
a way
through.
waiting.
for you.
look within.
what is sin?
the actual truth?
truth hurts.
sin is
the forgetting.
that
you are
god
too.
burn it
to the ground.
all
that
never
served.
a prison
that
never
was
yours.
talking. writing. reading. being.
steering clear.
releasing fear.
worthiness
yours to pluck.
the ripe fruit
hanging
just within
reach.
