Oh how I felt every single word of this. How your words could have been my own. How for so long I shrunk myself to fit into a tidy little box that was more digestable for others. And the magic and the medicine now is to love ourselves so much and so deeply that we no longer have to shape-shift for anyone. Just to know and love ourselves so much that being inauthentic is actually painful on some level. This has been and continues to be the great work of my life. Very thorough and well written. I am at a place in my life where I am my authentic self more and more. I have taken responsibility for my choices and accepted the consequences. I now choose not to live selfishly, seeking out things that made me feel better temporarily. I protect my peaceful environment at all costs, when possible.
